Apple offers free battery replacement for 2015 15-inch MacBook Pro laptops

Apple announced a voluntary recall of certain MacBook Pro models for a free battery replacement through their 15-inch MacBook Pro Battery Recall Program. This covers their 15-inch models identified as “MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)” when you select About This Mac from the Apple menu. Setting up QuickBooks for Multi-User mode on a NAS / Synology

This article will be helpful if you are trying to host QB from a NAS, Synology or other unsupported device. Make certain the computer (server) you setup to host the file is set to never power off and user knows not to power down. Outlook: “Always prompt for credentials” is greyed out

Force-Selecting a default scanner in Ortho2

To use this method you must not rely on WIA drivers or have multiple scanners installed Remove unneeded devices in devmgmt.msc Remove any old/unneeded drivers not listed in devmgmt.msc under \windows\twain_32 Disable Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) or stisvc under services.msc Relaunch Ortho2 and it should "default" correctly assuming no other devices show up in available list

Outlook 2016 freezes when opening signatures

If you are finding that Outlook 2016 freezes when you are trying to access signatures, the solution many times is to uninstall all the preinstalled Office applications from the computer. When you install your own version of Office on a computer preloaded, when you look in the apps list you will see 2 Words, 2 Excels, 2 Outlooks etc. Uninstall all the preinstalled versions, and viola, signatures will work again.
