Spotify Desktop App Causing Trouble

Last Updated: March 19th, 2018/Published On: November 15th, 2016/By /Views: 3738/

We’ve been getting reports and have seen first hand where the Spotify application for Windows is very aggressively and unnecessarily writing data to local hard drives.  This can significantly slow down your computer, cause your hard drive to die sooner than it would otherwise (especially with Solid State Drives).  We recommend removing the Spotify application all together (you can still stream from spotify.com without the application installed), or upgrade to the most recent version.
